Pittington Village Hall Association AGM

Pittington Voluntary CommunityThe AGM for Pittington Village Hall Association will be held at the hall at 7:00pm on Wednesday 27th February 2013. All members of the Village Hall are invited to attend and to consider and vote on the following important items:

  1. The dissolution of Pittington Village Hall Association and the transfer of all assets to a newly formed incorporated charity to be called Pittington Community Association. The transfer to an incorporated organisation is a requirement of the asset transfer process put in place by Durham County Council.
  2. Election of the committee.

With respect to elections, the current Chairman and Bookings Secretary have both indicated their intention to step down so we do need new committee members. It is anticipated that the elected committee will become the first committee of Pittington Community Association if and when the transfer takes place.

Arthur Christmas – Sunday 23rd December 2pm

The mobile cinema returns to Pittington Village Hall on Sunday December 23rd at 2pm with a Christmas special showing of Arthur Christmas.

Arthur Christmas reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to the question: ‘So how does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?’ The answer: Santa’s exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole.

Entry will be just £2. Refreshments will be available. The film is rated a PG so all ages are welcome.

This showing is the start of a new long-term agreement with the mobile cinema following on from the successful pilot that finished earlier this year. Next year should see at least four visits from the mobile cinema and this can be increased if they prove popular so come along, enjoy a great Christmas film and show your support for the Village Hall!
